In Focus Festival

In Focus Festival showcases striking photography across the streets, laneways and public spaces of Maribyrnong.

Over six weeks, the medium of photography is celebrated with ten sites in the Footscray's City Centre and Yarraville activated by eight artists' work in lightboxes, billboards, and blade installations, and a photography exhibition, The Art of Observation, featuring fifteen photographers at the Civic Precinct and Community Hub.

The festival is free, outdoors and open to everyone, encouraging spontaneous discovery and the power of the image to enchant us.

Accessibility

Welcomes and assists people who have challenges with learning, communication, understanding and behaviour. (includes people with autism, intellectual disability, Down syndrome, acquired brain injury (ABI), dyslexia and dementia)
Caters for people who are blind or have vision loss.
Caters for people with sufficient mobility to climb a few steps but who would benefit from fixtures to aid balance. (This includes people using walking frames and mobility aids)
Caters for people who use a wheelchair.
Caters for people with high support needs who travel with a support person.
