Louis Joel Gallery

The Joel Gallery is a hive of activity, hosting a range of diverse exhibitions by known and emerging local, national and international artists, community groups and more.

The Joel Gallery aims to promote the value and importance of the arts in Hobsons Bay by developing and maintaining a diverse program of exhibitions. It also seeks to support and strengthen the capacity of local artists to engage with the community and initiate programs that assist with community cultural development while ensuring equity of access for all.

The Louis Joel Arts and Community Centre is located on the site of the former Altona Hospital and has been developed over the past decade to become an exceptional community destination with the spaces, facilities and resources to unlock the potential of arts in our community.

The gallery is close to public transport and walking distance to the beach, shops, Altona Homestead, barbecue facilities.
