Held within the tranquil grounds of the historic Truganina Explosives Reserve in Altona, the event is held to celebrate World Migratory Bird Day.
The day signifies the time of year that migratory shorebirds return to the southern shores after breeding in the Northern Hemisphere summer. The birds fly along the East Asian Australasian Flyway, some all the way from Siberia.
There will be free art and science activities, giveaways, music, guided walks and a free barbeque.
Entry is free.
